On September 25, 2025, several members of our probate litigation team presented at the Third Annual Butler County Probate Seminar.
Shana DeMooy and Michael Brody presented on Dissecting an Undue Influence Claim. The presentation highlighted practical, strategic, and economic considerations over the course of undue influence litigation, from initial client intake through trial and appeal.
Tim Gallagher presented on Contested Guardianships. The presentation provided a foundational overview of when and why guardianship is necessary, a guardian’s general obligations to the ward and the court, and how to approach guardianships that are either contested by another applicant or by the ward themselves.
Nick Sebastiano presented on Ethical Considerations with Aging Clientele. This presentation provided an hour of professional conduct credit, focusing on the specific Rules of Professional Conduct and other ethical obligations directly pertinent to the probate practice.
