Julie Grace VanVliet is an associate in Reminger Co. LPA’s Cleveland office. She focuses her practice on appellate advocacy, employment liability law, educational law, professional liability law, insurance coverage, and retail and hospitality law.
Julie joined Reminger in 2022 as a law clerk and gained experience in many stages of litigation, including pleadings, various forms of motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.

Plaintiff alleged that a cemetery association improperly buried a family member’s cremains. The trial court granted the cemetery association’s motion for summary judgment, finding that it reasonably relied on written permission from another family member and that the plaintiff was not a third-party beneficiary to the contract between the association and the plaintiff’s family member.The appellate court affirmed the decision, holding that the plaintiff failed to present evidence to meet her burden on summary judgment.
