Defended a city and several of its employees after a young boy injured his hand on a broken hand dryer at a park. We represented a staffing company and its employee who handled maintenance work around the park, who plaintiffs alleged negligently reinstalled the hand dryer after it was damaged by vandals. The trial court granted us summary judgment and plaintiffs appealed. On appeal, the Fifth District found that 1) the City was immune under the recreational user statute, 2) the staffing company was not liable per the loaned servant doctrine, and 3) recreational user immunity extended to the loaned employee.
