CLEVELAND, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce that attorneys Gregory G. Guice and Julian T. Emerson were recently named to the 2019 list of Who’s Who in Black Cleveland, a publication that celebrates and recognizes the extraordinary and significant accomplishments of African Americans in the community.

Gregory G. Guice: Gregory is a shareholder in our Cleveland office and is the Chair of Reminger’s Retail & Hospitality Practice Group. He is also the Chair of Reminger’s Diversity Committee. Gregory handles matters across several areas of law including retail and hospitality liability, professional liability (both legal and financial), business/commercial litigation and employment liability. Gregory's litigation experience includes various state and appellate courts throughout Ohio, including appearing before the Ohio Supreme Court. He also has experience throughout the federal arena including U.S. District Courts, U.S. Bankruptcy courts and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is active in administrative spheres as well and handles matters before the EEOC, NLRB, and OSHA.

Gregory's determination and advocacy skills are well recognized, as evidenced by his selection as an Ohio Super Lawyer (and previously as an Ohio Rising Star) by Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine. He is a member of numerous bar associations including the National Bar Association (NBA), the Ohio Bar Association (OSBA), the Norman S. Minor Bar Association, and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association (CMBA). He serves as Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion for the CMBA and is a member of their Board of Trustees and the Board’s Executive Committee. Greg also serves as Co-Chair of the CMBA’s Minority Clerkship Program, as well as the Chair of the CMBA’s Diversity Pipeline Subcommittee. He also serves on the CMBA’s Certified Grievance Committee.

Julian T. Emerson: Julian serves as Co-Chair of Reminger's Environmental/Mass Tort/Class Action practice group. He has represented manufacturers and suppliers in toxic tort litigation, including the representation of asbestos, silica and benzene defendants in various courts throughout Ohio. Julian also handles a very diverse range of matters, including General Casualty, Construction Liability, Commercial Litigation, and Trucking/Commercial Transportation, in all levels of various courts throughout Ohio, including state, federal, and appellate courts.

Additionally, Julian is very involved at Reminger, sitting on Reminger’s Diversity Committee, Mentoring Committee, Law Clerk Hiring Committee, and the Reminger Foundation Board.

Since 2012, Julian has served as an Adjunct Professor for Cleveland-Marshall College of Law's Mock Trial Team, coaching second and third year law students in trial advocacy. He is a member of various professional associations, including The Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, The National Bar Association, and the Norman S. Minor Bar Association. Julian also serves as one of Reminger’s representatives for the Cleveland Legal Aid Society’s “Partners in Justice” initiative.
