Reminger Obtains Unanimous Defense Verdict in Workers’ Compensation Case

In a workers’ compensation claim, Reminger attorney Kevin Sanislo obtained a defense verdict for his freight carrier client.

Plaintiff, a dock worker, sought to participate in the Ohio worker’s compensation system after allegedly sustaining a shoulder sprain on the job. Plaintiff did not report the injury to his employer in a timely manner and it was later discovered that he had pre-existing shoulder problems.

After two days of trial, the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas jury returned a verdict in favor of our client, denying Plaintiff the right to participate in the worker’s compensation fund for his alleged shoulder injury.
