Reminger Obtains Defense Verdict in Favor of General Surgeon

In a medical malpractice claim, Reminger attorneys Ronald Mingus and Katherine Haire obtained a defense verdict for their general surgeon client.

Plaintiff claimed that our client delayed operation on a small bowel obstruction. The plaintiff developed necrotic bowel resulting in sepsis, a lengthy hospitalization, and other complications including a permanent enterocutaneous fistula and amputation of one-half of his foot.  

The plaintiff asked the jury to return a verdict in the amount of $1.5 million for medical malpractice. After five days of trial, the Madison, Indiana Circuit Court Jury returned a verdict in favor of our client.
