Cleveland, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce that Adam M. Fried and Franklin C. Malemud have co-authored a chapter in the textbook Aging and Money: Reducing Risk of Financial Exploitation and Protecting Financial Resources, published by Humana Press. Edited by Geriatrician Ronan M. Factora, Aging and Money is an essential new book that provides the practicing clinician with information on identifying risk factors and clinical clues associated with financial exploitation, and how to incorporate these steps into their practice.

The book is touted as being a first-of-its-kind title in the field, and is marketed as an important new resource for clinicians. Adam and Franklin wrote Chapter 8, entitled “Financial Exploitation-The Legal Perspective,” which addresses mitigating factors such as consent, undue influence and incompetence.

Adam serves as the Co-Chair of the Probate Administration, Trust Administration and Guardianships Practice Group. He represents clients in numerous types of probate disputes that challenge estate planning documents and transfers of wealth, including will contests, trust disputes, charges of undue influence and the fraudulent use of powers of attorney.  Adam seeks to defend the claims and enforce the rights of heirs, beneficiaries, trustees, executors, guardians, family members and other aggrieved parties.

The majority of Franklin's practice focuses upon the firm's unique probate court and trust litigation group which deals primarily with litigation involving wills, trusts, guardianship, conservatorship, powers of attorney, and living wills. Franklin also defends professional liability litigation with a focus upon lawyer negligence.
