CLEVELAND, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce that Jeanne M. Mullin has been recognized as a member of the 2019 class of "Smart Women Awards" honorees. Jeanne received a “Progressive Woman” award alongside other notable honorees at the 2019 Smart Women Breakfast & Awards, held on Tuesday, April 16th.

The annual event, sponsored by Cuyahoga Community College (Tri-C®) and Smart Business Magazine, celebrates the achievements of leading businesswomen, inspiring male advocates, and effective women’s programs. Jeanne practices primarily out of our Cleveland office, defending cases throughout Ohio. She has successfully defended hundreds of cases and handles herself with comfort and ease in the courtroom as a trial lawyer. Her practice is focused on the defense of medical and professional negligence cases, including physicians, pharmacists, hospitals and long-term care facilities. Jeanne also serves as National Coordinating Counsel for a major Fortune 500 company. Jeanne serves as co-chair of the firm's Medical Malpractice Group and is a member of the Management Group and Executive Committee. She also is a past leader of Reminger's Women's Initiative.

Jeanne is licensed to practice law in both Ohio and Michigan and has handled complex cases in other states on a pro hac vice basis. She is a member of various professional bar associations. She has presented matters on appeal at both the state and federal levels and has had the privilege of presenting a case to the Ohio Supreme Court.

Jeanne has been a frequent speaker on various topic areas, including medical malpractice, nursing home negligence and risk prevention since joining Reminger. She also finds time to give back to her community having been recognized by John Carroll University as an Alumni who is personally, professionally and philanthropically "making a difference." Toward that end, she served for ten years on the board of the PM Foundation Inc., dba Urban Community School, which is a non-profit organization devoted to providing a quality, faith-based education to children in the near west side of Cleveland who would not otherwise have access to it. In 2015, Jeanne decided to change her philanthropic focus, and joined the board of GiGi’s Playhouse Cleveland where she works to further the mission of educating and inspiring the community regarding Down Syndrome and helping individuals who live with Down syndrome achieve and realize their potential.

Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine has recognized Jeanne as a "Rising Star" from 2010 through 2013, and as a Super Lawyer from 2014 through 2019. In addition to being listed with Best Lawyers in America since 2012, Jeanne has been honored as Best Lawyers "Lawyer of the Year 2016 - Medical Malpractice Law - Defendants - Toledo." She was inducted as a Litigation Counsel of America Fellow in 2016.
