CLEVELAND, OH– We are pleased to announce that four attorneys have joined Reminger’s Cleveland office: Zachary R. Durant, Aaren Host, Margaret A. Nowak, and Matthew J. Turkalj.
Zachary R. Durant:
Zach focuses his practice on professional liability defense, securities litigation and arbitration, and business and commercial litigation.
Zach graduated cum laude from The University of Akron School of Law in 2018, where he competed as a member of the Akron School of Law Moot Court Team. He received his undergraduate degree from Walsh University.

Aaren focuses her practice on a variety of areas including appellate practice, insurance coverage defense, professional liability, and general liability. Aaren joined Reminger as a law clerk in 2017 and has honed her skills in each stage of litigation, including pleadings, various motion practice, discovery, trial, post-trial motions and appeals.
Aaren graduated cum laude from Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2018, where she competed as a member of Cleveland-Marshall’s Moot Court Team for two years. Aaren’s team finished 1st overall in the August A. Rendigs, Jr. National Products Liability Moot Court Competition. While at Cleveland-Marshall, Aaren worked as judicial extern to the Honorable Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor, learning and observing the Ohio Supreme Court’s discretionary review process first hand.

Margaret A. Nowak:
Maggie is a member of the probate litigation practice group. In this capacity, Maggie provides representation in probate and trust disputes involving will contests, charges of undue influence, breach of fiduciary duty actions, and other potential issues that can complicate the settling of an estate.
Prior to joining Reminger, Maggie worked at another regional law firm, serving as a member of a team of court-appointed counsel to the Securities Investor Protection Act (SIPA) Trustee for the liquidation of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC (BLMIS). In this role, Maggie honed her skills in document review and evidence preparation as part of an exceptional recovery effort involving hundreds of actions.
Maggie graduated cum laude in 2016 from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, where she was a member of the Women’s Law Student Association. While attending law school, Maggie worked as a judicial extern to the Honorable Chief Judge Solomon J. Oliver, where she learned about the judiciary process first-hand at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio.
Maggie volunteers for the Legal Aid Society of Cleveland, as a board member for the American Heart Association, and as an alumni advisor for Alpha Phi at Case Western Reserve University.

Matthew J. Turkalj:
Matt focuses his practice on a variety of areas including medical malpractice, health care law, professional liability, and general liability. Matt joined Reminger as a law clerk in 2017 and has honed his skills in each stage of litigation, including pleadings, various motion practice, discovery, trial, and post-trial motions.
Matt graduated from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2018 with a concentration in health law. While attending Case, Matt was an associate editor on Health Matrix: Journal of Law-Medicine and clerked in the legal departments at both University Hospitals and Summa Health. He received his undergraduate degree, summa cum laude, from Kent State University.
Matt is a member of a number of legal associations, including the American Health Lawyer’s Association.
