CLEVELAND, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce that Holly Marie Wilson has been named a member of the Ohio State Bar Association (OSBA) Amicus Committee. Her one-year term started in July.

The OSBA is asked on occasion to take a position that is beneficial to its members in pending appeals. Amicus curiae is a Latin term for “friend of the court.” When an organization is not a party to a lawsuit, but has a strong interest in the matter, the organization will petition the court for permission to file a brief which offers information, expertise or insight that has a bearing on the issues in the case. The brief that is filed with the court is called an amicus brief. The purpose of the committee is to evaluate the numerous amicus requests submitted to the OSBA.

At Reminger, Holly focuses her practice on litigation that encompasses a range of interconnected legal disciplines. As a member of Reminger’s Appellate Advocacy Practice Group, and as an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Appellate Law Specialist, Holly has been instrumental in the prosecution of appeals in state and federal appellate courts across the country.
