COLUMBUS, OH – The Reminger Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization funded by the attorneys and staff of Reminger Co., LPA and friends of the firm, made a $10,000 charitable grant to the Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Central Ohio today. The Reminger Foundation’s grant will be used by the RMHC of Central Ohio to help sponsor the organization’s linen needs for the next five years.

Reminger Columbus office Managing Partner Ronald A. Fresco presented a check to Angela Hartley, Senior Development Director of RMHC of Central Ohio. “As we approach our firm’s 60th anniversary next year, we plan to celebrate the values that made our firm what it is today by making meaningful contributions to organizations like yours who help families faced with difficult challenges,” said Fresco.  “We appreciate all that you do for our community, and are thankful that we have the ability to support your wonderful efforts.”

The RMHC of Central Ohio is located across from Nationwide Children’s Hospital, and serves as a place for families to call ‘home’ while their children are being treated at the hospital.

The Reminger Foundation was established several years ago to support important causes in the communities where the employees and clients of Reminger live and work. With the opening of the firm’s newest location in Evansville, Indiana last month, that geographic reach now encompasses fourteen offices throughout Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. In 2016, The Reminger Foundation made more than $65,000 in grants to more than 75 charitable organizations. This particular grant is the single-largest charitable grant made by the Foundation to date.

In Reminger’s Columbus office, a group of staff and attorneys referred to as “The Happenings Committee” augmented the Monday morning grant presentation to RMHC with donations from a book drive held onsite at the firm. The Committee looks for ways to make meaningful contributions, having previously raised funds for Franklin County Children’s Services to purchase gifts over the holidays.

“Columbus has become such a vibrant city,” said Fresco. “Our move last year to the Scioto Mile District has really energized our team. We are fully vested in the future of our community, and it is events like these that showcase what makes Columbus special.  I am proud of what our team members have done, and will continue to do in the future.”
