CROWN POINT, IN – We are pleased to announce that Erica M. Maar has joined the Crown Point, Indiana office of Reminger Co., LPA.
Erica focuses her practice on a variety of areas including general casualty, products liability, retail & hospitality liability, and trucking & commercial transportation. Prior to joining Reminger, Erica served as a federal judicial extern with the Honorable Judge Christopher Nuechterlein. Erica has drafted orders, provided research and conducted analysis in different practice areas including property, torts, contracts, workers' compensation, immigration, guardianship and tax. She also has amended and written contracts for the sale of property and commercial leases.
Erica graduated magna cum laude from Valparaiso University School of Law, where she was an academic merit scholarship recipient. Erica finished in the top 5% of her law school class and served as an Associate Editor on the Valparaiso University Law Review Board.
Additionally, Erica brings with her a vast amount of business experience, having worked at a financial planning firm for many years. In this role, she managed human resources duties, trained staff, filed taxes, handled payroll and worked in bookkeeping. Erica completed law school while raising four children, serving on the board of a local non-profit, and actively serving in her church. In 2015, Hilltop Neighborhood House honored her for her nine years of service on the board.
