CLEVELAND, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce the appointment of Matthew L. Schrader as the Co-Chair of our firm’s General Casualty/Excess and Surplus Lines Practice Group. He joins Co-Chair Robert Hojnoski in a management role where he will continue to promote the strategic direction and core competencies of the practice group.

As a shareholder in our Columbus office, Matthew has litigated and tried cases involving professional liability, medical malpractice, wrongful death, products liability and copyright infringement.  Matthew has tried cases in both the state and federal courts throughout Ohio. He has also argued and briefed appeals in Ohio’s appellate courts and the Fourth and Sixth Circuits.

For nearly 10 years, Matthew served as the Coach of and Advisor to the Mock Trial Team of the Capital University School of Law, where he also served as Adjunct Professor teaching second and third year law students trial advocacy and evidence. Matthew acts as General Counsel to one of Central Ohio's largest non-profit organizations. He has also spoken to audiences throughout the country on issues dealing with trial practice, medical negligence, UM/UIM claims and employment issues.

Matthew has been recognized as a Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine in 2011, and from 2014 through 2016. Columbus CEO Magazine listed him as a “Top Lawyer in Central Ohio” in 2014 and 2016.  He is also rated AV® Preeminent™: Very Highly Rated in Both Legal Ability and Ethical Standards by Martindale Hubbell Peer Review.
