Michelle J. Sheehan Selected as Person of the Week by West Shore Sun NewspapersPDF
Rocky River attorney Michelle Sheehan is West Shore Sun Person of the Week
Reminger Co., LPA, recently announced that partner Michelle Sheehan, of Rocky River, was certified by the Ohio State Bar Association as a specialist in appellate law.
The distinction makes her one of only 29 certified appellate law specialists in Ohio.
To earn the certification, Sheehan had to pass an extensive written examination, demonstrate a high level of involvement and expertise in the specialty area, and fulfill ongoing education requirements. She also underwent an evaluation by other attorneys and judges familiar with her work.
Sheehan concentrates her legal practice on appellate advocacy and post-trial matters. She has argued cases before the Ohio Supreme Court, 6th Circuit Court of Appeals, as well as most appellate courts in Ohio.
She is a chairperson of the Reminger Co.’s judicial liaison and marketing/public relations groups. Sheehan also lectures frequently for professional associations and continuing legal education seminars dealing with appellate, insurance coverage and risk management issues.
In support of the firm’s community and charitable commitments, she served as president of the Ohio Women’s Bar Association and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Visiting Committee.
Sheehan is a member of the board of trustees for EcoWatch and the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law Alumni Association. She also serves on the Rocky River Civil Service Commission.
She is married to Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Brendan Sheehan.
