In re Guardianship of Hards, Lake App. No. 2007-L-150, 2009-Ohio-1002. After ward died, and for several years, removed guardian and her attorney disobeyed various probate court orders on the asserted basis that probate court lacked jurisdiction over deceased ward's affairs. 11th District Ohio Court of Appeals affirmed the probate court's finding that a) removed guardian and her attorney were guilty of indirect civil contempt for disobeying court orders to assist successor guardian to file final account and for attorney in advising client to disobey court orders, and b) successor guardian and special master were entitled to their attorneys fees and costs incurred as a result of former guardian and her attorney's obstructionist and contemptuous behavior.
