Reminger's Product Liability Practice Group represents manufacturers, importers, and distributors of various products including automobiles, boats, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, and industrial machinery.
Nationally recognized, we serve major multi-national corporations as well as small market entrepreneurs. Members of this practice group are admitted to the bar in Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan and Indiana.
Our attorneys have successfully tried to verdict cases with 'bet the company' exposure and national media attention. Their technical expertise and advocacy abilities obtain outstanding results at trial, during discovery and in mediations and negotiations. They are known personally to the scientific community and are able to obtain the assistance of prominent, highly qualified consultants in the physical and material sciences.
In addition to the typical products case, our attorneys have appeared before the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission to address the broad based issues concerning product recalls and nationwide corrective action programs.
Our Group distinguishes itself from our competition in four basic ways:
- Dedicated client service. Our Practice Protocol™ requires ours attorneys to contact the client or the insurer within 24 hours after receipt of the assignment. We will locate the product involved and arrange for its preservation within one week. Within two weeks we will have obtained sufficient information about damages to allow a reasonable evaluation of exposure. Within days, we will be prepared to provide an initial analytical report, case strategy, and projected budget.
- Philosophy of Practice. Reminger's Products Liability attorneys are trial lawyers, rather than 'litigators.' Once we collaborate with the client on a decision or objective on a case, we become proactive in resolving the matter in the least amount of time and at the least amount of expense.
- We are a good value. Our firm is a pioneer in 'alternative fee' arrangements with clients. If a client chooses to be charged by the hour, our rate is simple and straightforward. We use a singular, blended, net hourly rate, applicable to all handling attorneys. Our net rate is inclusive of all in-house, out-of-pocket expenses. Thus, there are no extra charges for such things as long distance telephone, mailings, mileage, computer usage research charges, fax, copies, etc.
- Value-added components. Our Products Liability Group members are available for complimentary consultation with both clients and insurers for input and counsel in areas of loss prevention, case evaluation, substantive law, expert retention, and claim management. Our in-house videoconferencing facilities and total firm electronic integration allows us to conduct interviews, discovery, and presentations with economic efficiency and unlimited reach.
