CLEVELAND, OH – Reminger Co., LPA is pleased to announce that Estate Planning Practice Group Chair Barbara Bellin Janovitz was recently elected to Beachwood City Council. Barbara ran for one of the four at-large council seats, and handily won with nearly 24 percent of the more than 12,000 votes cast. She will take office in January 2016.

A lifelong Beachwood resident, Barbara is a board member of several organizations, including the Montefiore Foundation, Benjamin Rose Institute on Aging, Rose Centers for Aging Well and the Center for Community Solutions. 

Barbara has been the chair of Reminger's Estate Planning Group for more than fifteen years and has been counseling clients on estate planning and probate and trust administration issue for almost thirty years. Her practice is focused on:

Barbara counsels clients on both simple and complex estate, charitable and retirement planning matters, and has experience dealing with the Internal Revenue Service to resolve estate and gift tax issues. She helps clients analyze, develop and implement appropriate comprehensive estate plans, from basic planning to the use of sophisticated and cutting edge techniques for high net worth clients. 

Barbara frequently speaks on estate planning matters to groups of individuals and professional advisors.

“In the 50 years that I've lived in Beachwood, the community has become a more diverse community,” said Barbara of her hometown. “I haven't seen that diversity reflected in Beachwood city leadership. That was part of the reason why I decided to run."
