COLUMBUS, OH – Oil, Natural Gas and Energy Chair Gregory Brunton was highlighted in the November 28th issue of "2014-2015 Who's Who in Energy" by Columbus Business First. The publication was distributed in eight markets, including Columbus, Pittsburgh, Houston, Austin, Dallas, San Antonio, St. Louis and Denver.

Greg is an accomplished litigator whose expertise and experience spans everything from professional negligence, to complex business and commercial litigation, to matters involving land use and eminent domain.

As Chair of the Oil, Natural Gas and Energy practice group, Greg’s knowledge of the shale industry makes him a trusted resource for many clients, both large corporations and individuals, regarding issues of land acquisition, oil gas leasing, Dormant Mineral Act litigation, land use, and other disputes regarding oil gas leasing rights.

Some of Greg's most notable work includes that with two major pipeline projects. Early in his career, Greg was included as a lead attorney on a major Marathon Pipeline project that extended from Kentucky through Central Ohio. He was then privileged to serve as lead counsel for the Rockies Express Pipeline Project, which involved a major, multi-billion dollar pipeline project extending from Colorado through Ohio across hundreds of landowners.

Greg dedicates a substantial portion of his practice to defending professional negligence claims involving attorneys, accountants, architects and engineers.  Some of his more notable successes include a defense jury verdict on behalf of a major law firm involving the handling of a class action lawsuit, successfully defending an intellectual property law firm at the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals, and defending a creditor rights law firm in a class action.

Greg has argued cases in the Ohio Supreme Court, the Federal Circuit Court of Appeals in Washington D.C., the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and state appellate courts throughout Ohio. Greg serves as Chair of Reminger’s Oil, Natural Gas and Energy; Finance and Creditor Rights and Liabilities; and Government and Public Entities practice groups.
