Reminger attorneys instruct trial advocacy teams at many of the major law schools in the region. Trial advocacy teams are special programs for law students interested in learning the art of trial advocacy. The Reminger-coached teams provide opportunities for second and third year law students to develop and hone their trial advocacy skills using the applicable Rules of Evidence and Rules of Civil Procedure. Students take on the role of attorney or witness and work collectively to prepare opening statements, direct examinations, cross examinations and closing arguments, as well as necessary motions and objections. Students who participate in this program have a unique opportunity to display their advocacy skills before distinguished members of the legal community and compete against other students from across the country in trial advocacy competitions. The competitions are held during both the fall and spring semester for a chance to advance to the National Championship. Competition problems are based on issues of either criminal or civil law that gives students the opportunity to analyze the problem and prepare an entire trial based upon their ultimate theory of the case.
