Licensed to practice law in Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, with twenty-six years of legal experience, Suzanne Belot Norton has regularly been recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers in the field of workers’ compensation. She was selected as Who’s Who in Area Law by the Toledo Business Journal in September 2009, and as one of Northwest Ohio’s top attorneys in her fields of workers’ compensation and municipal/government law. Suzanne provides legal assistance at all stages of the administrative process, including litigation, as well as preventative measures, to reduce exposure to Ohio state-funded and self-insured employers and businesses. She successfully represents clients at every level of the Industrial Commission of Ohio and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation, as well as before trial and appellate courts throughout the state. She also provides counsel and legal representation to clients in various aspects of municipal and employment law.

Cerrtified as a specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law by the Supreme Court of Ohio, Suzanne also serves as a member of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Workers’ Compensation Certification Specialty Board, the Jury Instruction Subcommittee and Workers’ Compensation Law Committee. She is also a member of the Toledo Bar Association, and serves on the Grievance Investigation, Bar Admissions, Workers’ Compensation, Municipal, and Program Committees, as well as the Lucas County and Toledo Women’s Bar Associations, the Ohio Self-Insurers’ Association, and the Northwest Ohio Self-Insurers’ Association. Suzanne is Workers’ Compensation Counsel for the City of Maumee, Ohio, and also serves as an Assistant City Law Director. Prior to relocation to Northwest Ohio, she was chief legal counsel for the City of Wheeling, West Virginia, the first female appointed to such position, and was Town Solicitor for Tridelphia, West Virginia. She has successfully represented clients in civil matters in state courts in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and in multiple federal, district and appeals courts.
