Brian has developed an extensive and diverse practice over the past decade, driven by his reputation, litigation style and client referrals. He serves as Co-Chair of both Reminger’s Commercial Litigation group and Architects and Engineers/Construction Liability group.  He is also a practice group leader for the General Casualty/Excess & Surplus group as well as one of the lead attorneys in the White Collar/Criminal Defense practice group.

Brian focuses heavily on the defense of architects and engineers in design defect disputes, as well as contractors and developers in construction defect and OSHA violation claims. He litigates and advises clients in complex business claims arising from allegations of tortious interference, enforcement/violations of non-compete and non-solicitation agreements, breaches of contract, and employment issues, including claims of discrimination. He also defends catastrophic loss and injury lawsuits, whether resulting from a claimed product defect or a premises liability claim from one of his nationally known Fortune 500 clients.  And, when there is no conflict with the interests of the firm’s clients, Brian has filed numerous lawsuits and taken cases to jury on behalf of injured victims, focusing on recovering substantial settlements for his clients.

He has tried numerous cases, both civil and criminal, to jury in and outside of Ohio.  He has been brought in shortly before trial upon request by clients or carriers, and represents clients in multiple states, appearing in several state and federal courts throughout the country. In addition to appearing in front of numerous state and federal courts, Brian has handled cases in numerous other forums, including the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the Ohio Civil Rights Commission (OCRC), the California Department of Industrial Relations – Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (CDLSE), and the California Employment Development Department (CEDD).

Brian is recognized by Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine as a “Rising Star,” a recognition given to less than 2.5% of lawyers in the State of Ohio.  He is a member of various professional associations, including a past member of the Young Lawyers Steering Committee for the Defense Research Institute, and past appointment to serve multiple terms as the Substantive Liaison for the DRI's Law Practice Management Committee.

Brian graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder and obtained his law degree and master’s degree from Cleveland State University.  He completed his law and master’s degrees simultaneously, a semester early, while working full-time as a law clerk and going to school at night.
